John Baran (74'), Rosie DeMart (76'), Keith Miranto and Angela Donato Johnson (75') and John Chiarmonte (Retired Teacher & Coach) pose next to the Digital Touchscreen which was installed at the High School in early September 2020. The screen will be available for all to see with a live website link very soon. If you get a chance to see the touchscreen and window displays, you will be very pleased to see what we've been able to do so far thanks to all the donors and sponsors. Thank you one and all !
Dear NTHS Alumni,
John Baran (Class of ’74) is leading a project to repair, restore and revamp the NTHS Wall of Fame (NTHS WOF) in the Athletic Wing of the High School. This project includes the NT Fine Arts Hall of Fame and NTHS Basketball Hall of Fame, and upon completion, will honor all alumni by preserving those memories and accomplishments we cherish. Plaques, trophies and photographs will be restored, and physical improvements will be made to preserve the restored items. A kiosk will be included, which will allow visitors to locate and receive biographical information on the NTHS WOF members.
This project while ambitious and expensive, is destined for success given the enthusiasm, determination and commitment, of John and others involved in seeing this project through to completion. I have also become involved in the project, and have made a donation in memory of the deceased members of the Class of ’73. Once it is completed the project will not only honor athletes, artists and performers, but it will reflect the pride all NTHS alumni can take in accomplishing the goal together.
I am asking you to please make a donation in any amount you can afford. A bank account has been opened at M&T Bank for the purpose of accepting donations and paying restoration expenses. Checks payable to “NTHS Wall of Fame Project”, can be mailed c/o John Chiarmonte, 1143 Ruie Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. If you cannot make a donation at this time and/or would like to support this effort, please come out to one of the fundraising activities the group has planned. An initial “NT’s Got Talent Event” hosted by local TV personality and alum, Maryalice Demler had to be cancelled back in May but we're planning more ways to get around the pandemic and will let you know what we are planning as we move ahead.
